Panic Disorder

A panic attack is a sudden onset of intense fear or discomfort that reaches its peak within minutes.

Panic disorder is a type of anxiety disorder characterised by recurrent and unexpected panic attacks. During a panic attack, individuals may experience a variety of physical and psychological symptoms, such as rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, sweating, trembling, chest pain, dizziness, and a feeling of impending doom. Panic attacks can occur without any apparent trigger and can lead to significant distress and fear of experiencing future attacks.

CBH focuses on breathing and relaxation to manage hyperventilation, identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to anxiety and panic. When combined with hypnotherapy techniques, it can enhance the effectiveness of treatment.
